FLUX: Redefining Women’s Surfing (film event announcement)

FLUX: Redefining Women’s Surfing is a short film I assisted with (and am also in with young ripper Kahanu Delovio) alongside a talented crew of filmmakers from Chapman University for Project W. Sarah Lee, Chad King and Mia Montanile’s film was screened this evening as an official short selection at the Newport Film Festival.

Although it has not yet been released to the general public, the filmmakers have given me permission to show the film on Saturday, May 10th at the Carlsbad Dove Library*. We will have a few limited edition DVDs for sale and a Q&A session after the film. Please feel free to bring your kids, but be aware that the content of the film is most suitable for 11+ years of age. This film is really about creating a safe space for the groms, after all.

If you are interested in attending, we’ll be meeting in the “Gowland Meeting Room” at the Dove Library starting at 3:15pm. If you have any questions, please feel free to shoot me an email: cori@corischumacher.com

Looking forward to sharing this film with you!
