I met Mimi Knoop a few years ago at the Women In Boardsports conference in Saas Fee, Switzerland where I gave the presentation
From ‘Stand by Your Man’ to ‘Stand by Your Suntan to an amazing group of ladies who continue to inspire me.
Mimi introduced me to some projects in women’s skateboarding, at the conference, that are grounded in teamwork, community, and care for future generations of female skateboarders. Much of this work is under-represented and would surely be inspiring in the realm of surfing (and elsewhere) if more people knew of their work. Here’s something Mimi shared with me today.
